Police solve blind murder of woman

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jun, 2026) Police in Bhulwal City have solved a blind murder case involving an unidentified woman whose body was recovered from a canal last month, officials said Friday.

Speaking at a press conference, SP Investigation Imran Abbas Chadhar, accompanied by DSP Shahid Anayat Bhatti, said police recovered the throat-slit body of an unidentified woman from a canal on May 9. At the time, investigators had no evidence to establish her identity.

Using modern investigative techniques, the latest technology and verification through the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), police were able to identify the victim as Faryal Bibi, daughter of Muhammad Khan and a resident of Chak 6 M/L Phularwan.

Investigators determined that Faryal Bibi was allegedly murdered by her husband with the assistance of his brothers, identified as Ehsan and Farman.

Police arrested the suspects, who later confessed to the crime during interrogation, officials said.

According to investigators, the motive for the murder was the husband's desire to contract a second marriage.

Police said further legal proceedings are underway
