Police resolve jewelry shop theft case, arrest one

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Feb, 2026) District police claimed a major success after solving a jewelry shop theft case within 24 hours, arresting the main suspect and recovering 100 percent of the stolen property.

On the special directives and under the supervision of SSP Shaheed Benazirabad Sumer Noor Channa, the Police traced a theft that occurred at a jewelry shop located in JM Plaza within the limits of A-Section Police Station. Police arrested main accused and recovered the stolen gold, silver, and cash in full.

According to a police spokesperson, unidentified thieves had broken the locks of a jewelry shop owned by Arshad Jamali in JM Plaza and fled after stealing two kilograms of silver, two grams of gold, and cash.

Taking immediate notice of the incident, SSP issued strict instructions for the early arrest of those involved. Acting on these orders, SDPO City ASP Dur-e-Tabish led a team along with SHO A-Section. Using modern technical resources and professional expertise, police conducted a raid and arrested the main suspect, Faizan, son of Yaqoob Shah, a resident of Maryam Road, Nawabshah, within 24 hours of the incident.

All the stolen property, including two kilograms of silver, two grams of gold, and the stolen cash amount, was recovered from the possession of the accused. Legal formalities are underway to hand over the recovered property to its rightful owner.

Addressing a press conference at A-Section Police Station, SHO informed media that under the zero-tolerance policy of SSP Shaheed Benazirabad, the crackdown against criminal elements has been intensified. He said that protection of life and property of citizens remains top priority of the police, and this successful operation has further strengthened public confidence in law enforcement.

Members of public and trader community appreciated swift action of police and complete recovery of the stolen property, and commended SSP Sumer Noor Channa and ASP Dur-e-Tabish along with their team for performance.
