Police on high alert for Churches security in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2026) On the directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani, Rawalpindi Police have implemented effective security arrangements for churches across the city.

According to a police spokesperson, senior officers are present in the field to monitor the security arrangements.

Strict entry protocols, including complete body searches, are being ensured at church entrances.

The spokesperson said that all available resources are being utilized to maintain law and order and to ensure the protection of minority rights.

CPO Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani stated that visitors attending places of worship are being provided security and are treated with courtesy by the police. He added that foolproof security measures have been put in place to ensure peace and safeguard the rights of minority community.
