Police inspector dies after truck hits his motorcycle

MUZAFFARGARH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) A special branch inspector was killed after a speeding truck rammed into his motorcycle on the Muzaffargarh-Multan Road, police said on Wednesday.

According to Rescue 1122 officials,Inspector Hasnain Sajjad Shah died on the spot after the truck hit his motorcycle.

Police said the deceased officer was returning to his hometown in Muzaffargarh after performing official duty in Multan when the accident occurred.

The truck driver fled the scene following the incident, while police launched a search operation to arrest the suspect.

According to a police spokesperson,Syed Ghazanfar Ali Shah reached the DHQ Hospital soon after being informed about the tragedy.

Expressing grief over the death of the officer,the DPO termed the incident a major loss for the department and said the sudden demise had saddened the entire police force.

He said the department stood with the bereaved family in this difficult hour.

The DPO described the deceased as an honest, capable and dedicated police officer and prayed for the elevation of his ranks in the hereafter.
