Police have arrested three drug dealers, including two female suspects, red-handed with 12 kilograms of cannabis.

LARKANA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Jul, 2026) Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Larkana Ahmed Chaudhry said that Larkana police have dismantled a network of drug peddlers and Police arrested three drug dealers, including two female suspects, red-handed with approximately 12 kilograms (12,000 grams) of cannabis on Thursday.

According to SSP Larkana, with the assistance of a Federal civil sensitive agency, a major drug supply attempt was foiled. The three drug dealer suspects were apprehended from a passenger coach arriving from Quetta in the New Bus Terminal area.

The three suspects have been identified as Aqeela, wife of Muhammad Umar, originally a resident of Afghanistan but currently residing in Quetta, from whom 4 kilograms (4,000 grams) of cannabis were recovered; Laiba, daughter of Wali Muhammad Brohi, a resident of Quetta, from whom 2 kilograms (2,000 grams) of cannabis were recovered; and Muhammad Hayat, son of Abdul Hamid Brohi, from whom 3 kilograms (3,000 grams) of cannabis were recovered.

The arrested suspects belong to an inter-provincial drug trafficking gang, he said.

SSP Ahmed Chaudhry further said, based on obtained information, the arrested suspects have previously been apprehended in drug trafficking cases within Balochistan province. However, according to preliminary investigation, the arrested suspects work as delivery boys for drug dealers Rahmat Brohi and Imdad Brohi, who are based in Quetta. A case has been registered against the arrested suspects and the fleeing suspect Yasin Jatoi, who escaped after throwing away over 2 kilograms (2,600 grams) of cannabis, at the concerned Waleed police station.

SSP Larkana Ahmed Chaudhry QPM, PSP has commended the concerned DSP Sadar/Civil Lines Saad Jabbar and SHO Waleed police station Sub-Inspector Arshad Mahmood Malik, and has issued orders to broaden the scope of the investigation. Interrogation of the arrested suspects is ongoing regarding other accomplices, buyers, and drug dealers.
