DARYA KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) The police seized more than 51 tonnes of wheat and confiscated a large quantity of non-custom paid cigarettes in separate anti-smuggling operations, the police spokesperson said on Wednesday.
According to police, the operation was carried out under the supervision of SDPO Darya Khan, Muhammad Azam.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>SHO Saddar Darya Khan, Inspector Sajjad Khan, along with a police team, intercepted two trucks and a loader vehicle carrying illegally transported wheat.
The police said over 51 tonnes of wheat were recovered and taken into custody.
In another operation, police set up a checkpoint and foiled an attempt to smuggle non-custom paid cigarettes, recovering 850 cartons during the raid, they added.
