Police foil robbery attempt, two suspected robbers killed in encounter

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jun, 2026) A robbery attempt was foiled after police engaged suspected robbers in an exchange of fire in the Zafarabad area along Tank Road, leaving two suspects dead, the police said on Thursday.

According to police spokesman, DSP Suburb Circle Hafiz Muhammad Adnan, along with a police contingent, responded swiftly after receiving information about a robbery in progress in the area. Upon reaching the scene, police confronted the suspects, triggering a gunfight.

During the exchange of fire, two alleged robbers were killed.

The police said their prompt action successfully thwarted the robbery attempt and prevented any loss to the public.

One of the deceased suspects was identified as Nasrullah, a resident of Wandha Baloch, while efforts are underway to ascertain the identity of the other suspect.

Following the encounter, police sealed off the area and launched a search operation to locate any possible accomplices and collect evidence from the scene. The further investigations are underway.
