According to police sources, the police team intercepted a suspicious vehicle during routine checking. A thorough search revealed hashish concealed in secret compartments of the vehicle.

The two suspects, identified as Mumtaz and Usman, were taken into custody at the scene. Preliminary investigations suggest the contraband was being smuggled from Orakzai to Kohat.

A case has been registered at Astrezai Police Station, and the accused have been shifted for further interrogation. Officials stated that the timely action thwarted a significant attempt to transport narcotics into the district.

Police reaffirmed their commitment to intensifying operations against criminal elements, ensuring strict legal action against those involved in the illicit drug trade.
