Police Facilitation Centre inaugurated

GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th May, 2026) Regional Police Officer (RPO) Khurram Shehzad Haider inaugurated a Punjab Police Khidmat Markaz at the University of Gujrat (UOG) to provide police services to students and staff under one roof.

The ceremony was hosted by Registrar Muhammad Naeem Butt and attended by District Police Officer Gujrat Akhtar Farooq, Syndicate Member Tariq Mahmood Sheikh, Dr Umar Warraich, and other officials.

RPO Khurram Shehzad Haider said helping students is a shared responsibility.

He added that the centre would save time by offering multiple police services on campus.

After the inauguration, he visited service counters along with university officials and students.

The centre, located at the business Incubation Centre, has four counters staffed by police personnel, including female officers.

Services include character certificates, police verification, FIR copies, tenant registration, driving permits, licence renewals, and other services.
