Police chief reviews crime situation, police performance

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) CPO Rawalpindi Syed Khalid Mahmood Hamdani on Wednesday chaired a crime meeting at Police Lines Headquarters, reviewing police station and circle-wise performance and issuing directives to improve policing standards.

Senior officers including SSP Operations, SSP Investigation, SP CIA, SP Security, divisional SPs, SDPOs, SHOs and investigation officers attended the meeting.

The CPO directed officers to ensure timely registration of FIRs, immediate redressal of public complaints at police stations and merit-based investigation of cases.

He emphasized strict action against drug dealers and directed that challans in serious cases be submitted within the stipulated timeline.

Syed Khalid Mahmood Hamdani said protection of citizens’ lives and property and prevention of crime remained top priorities.
