Police camp collects 100 blood bags for Thalassemia patients

The District Police organized a blood donation camp in Kot Momin tehsil on Tuesday, collecting over 100 blood bags for children suffering from Thalassemia under the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Sohaib Ashraf

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Jun, 2026) The District Police organized a blood donation camp in Kot Momin tehsil on Tuesday, collecting over 100 blood bags for children suffering from Thalassemia under the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Sohaib Ashraf.

The initiative was executed through the special efforts of SP Investigation Imran Abbas Chadhar and supervised by SDPO Kot Momin Nasir Mahmood Pannu.

A large number of police officers, local citizens, and media representatives participated in the camp to donate blood for the noble cause.

Speaking on the occasion, Superintendent of Police (Investigation) Imran Abbas Chadhar stated that the district Police consider humanitarian service its foremost duty alongside the protection of public life and property.

He emphasized that children battling Thalassemia deserve special attention and affection from society. The SP further remarked that a single drop of donated blood could save a precious life, which remains the core message of the Sargodha Police's community outreach.

A spokesperson for the district police added that such activities would continue to bridge the gap between the police and the public while serving those in medical need.
