Police arrested fake Section Officer

SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th May, 2026) Police on Saturday arrested a man accused of impersonating a government officer and threatening a government employee over the phone.

According to a police spokesperson, a Revenue Department employee and patwari,Manzar Ali posted at City Daska Police Station, submitted an application stating that he received a call from a person identifying himself as Rana Kashif.

The caller allegedly introduced himself as a Section Officer from the Complaint Cell and claimed that a complaint had been filed against the official, also threatening that his job could be at risk.

Following the complaint, FIR No.662/26 was registered at the concerned police station.

SHO City Daska Police Station Inspector Nauman Ahmad said the suspect was traced and arrested within a short span of time using human intelligence and modern technology.

Police said the accused had been impersonating a government officer and making threatening calls to government employees. Further investigation is underway.
