Police arrest two in Rs 3.3m theft case, recover Rs 1.5m

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Mar, 2026) The police have arrested two suspects involved in a major theft of Rs.3.3 million at a petrol pump in D-Type Colony area and recovered about Rs.1.5 million from their possession.

Police spokesman said here on Wednesday that acting on the directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Sahibzada Bilal Umar, SHO D-Type Colony Sub Inspector Imtiaz Ali along with ASI Ghazi Arif conducted a successful operation by using technical resources and traced the major theft incident.

He said that accused identified as Naeem and Zeeshan had stolen Rs.3.3 million from a petrol pump in the D-Type Colony area and fled from the scene along with booty.

During raid, the police team managed to arrest both accused and recovered approximately Rs.1.5 million of the stolen amount from their possession while further investigation was under progress, he added.
