Police arrest four over armed robbery targeting transgender people

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) The police arrested four men accused of robbing transgender citizens at gunpoint, the police sources said on Thursday.

According to Shakardara police, the suspects allegedly stole Rs 350,000 during the incident.

District Police Officer (DPO), Shahbaz Elahi ordered immediate action after the robbery was reported.

A police team, led by Station House Officer, Masood Khan, carried out an operation using intelligence-based methods and investigative techniques to track down the suspects.

The four men identified as Aaqib, Affan, Mohib and Hassnain were taken into custody, they added.

The sources said they had recovered the stolen cash as well as the weapons believed to have been used in the robbery.

The police registered a case against the accused and launched further investigation.
