Police arrest five suspects in connection with clash between two groups of Bhund community

NAWABSHAH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Feb, 2026) On the special directives of SSP Shaheed Benazirabad, Sameer Noor Channa, ASP Dur-e-Tabish briefed media regarding recent clash between two groups of Bhund community within the jurisdiction of Kishorpur Police Station.

She informed journalists about prevailing law and order situation in the area and latest progress made by police. ASP Dur-e-Tabish said that during multiple raid operations conducted at different locations, police arrested five key suspects involved in the incident.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Ustad Mehr Ali Bhund, Roshan Ali Bhund, Sameer Bhund, Gul Hassan Bhund, and Ibn Bhund.

She disclosed that SSP Sameer Noor Channa has constituted a high-level investigation team comprising DSPs and senior officers to ensure a transparent inquiry into the matter.

The team will work under the direct supervision of SSP and is required to submit daily progress reports.

She emphasized that no negligence or leniency will be tolerated during investigation process.

According to police spokesperson in order to ensure public safety and prevent similar incidents in future, ASP Dur-e-Tabish announced the establishment of a permanent “Bhund Police Picket” at the site of incident.

A heavy police contingent equipped with modern weapons has been deployed at the picket to restore a sense of security among residents and maintain peace in the area.

ASP reiterated that those responsible for loss of human life and taking law into their own hands would not be granted any concession.

On the other hand police have cordoned off the area, and situation is currently reported to be fully under control. Raids are ongoing to apprehend remaining absconding suspects.
