Police arrest 5 drug peddlers, recover over 6kg hashish, liquor

ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th May, 2026) Attock Police arrested five alleged drug peddlers in separate operations and recovered more than six kilograms of hashish and 10 litres of liquor from their possession.

According to police sources on Saturday, Assistant Sub Inspector Jameel Akhtar of Bahter Police Station, along with his team, during checking recovered 1,400 grams of hashish from Ikram, son of Fazal Subhan, a resident of Peshawar.

In another operation, Assistant Sub Inspector Aqil Raees of Bahter Police Station recovered 1,400 grams of hashish from Sabir, son of Hashim Khan, also a resident of Peshawar.

Similarly, Assistant Sub Inspector Ghulam Jafar Tayyar of Attock Khurd Police Station recovered 1,300 grams of hashish from Fayyaz Hussain, son of Yousaf Shah, a resident of Mansar Hazro.

Meanwhile, Assistant Sub Inspector Muhammad Waseem of Hazro Police Station recovered 2,000 grams of hashish from Roida Bibi alias Gulalai, widow of Mukhtiar Ahmad and resident of Mardan.

In a separate action, Sub Inspector Khadija Manzoor of City Attock Police Station recovered 10 litres of liquor from Ibadat Ali, son of Sher Ali, resident of Kalo Hazro, and arrested the accused.

Police registered separate cases against the accused under relevant sections and started further investigation.
