Police arrest 34 POs, habitual criminals:

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Feb, 2026) Sargodha police arrested 34 proclaimed offenders and habitual criminals during a massive crackdown across the district during the last 24 hours, a police spokesperson said here on Wednesday.

The operation was conducted by various police stations following special directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Sargodha Muhammad Sohaib Ashraf to eliminate crime.

Among those apprehended, four were proclaimed offenders wanted for heinous crimes, 18 were category B offenders, and 12 were habitual criminals, the spokesperson added.

While commenting on the operation,the DPO Muhammad Sohaib Ashraf said that maintaining law and order and protecting the lives and property of citizens remained the top priority.

He said that proclaimed offenders were threat to peace and the circle around them would be further tightened to ensure a crime-free district.
