Police arrest 17 suspects, recover weapons in search operation

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Feb, 2026) In a series of targeted search and strike operations on Saturday, district police arrested 17 individuals and seized a significant cache of illegal weapons.

District Police Officer, Muhammad Waqas Khan told media men that police conducted joint raids across suspicious locations in Charsadda City and Parang.

The operation successfully netted several high-priority targets, including a declared criminal and two individuals residing in the area illegally.

During the operation, police recovered arms and ammunition including one rifle, three shotguns, and eight pistols, along with dozens of rounds of ammunition.

Following the arrests, formal cases were registered against the suspects, and a comprehensive investigation is currently underway.

DPO emphasized that these crackdowns will continue indiscriminately, reaffirming the department's commitment to maintaining law and order throughout the district at all costs.
