Police arrest 111 drug peddlers, recover drugs, weapons

NAWABSHAH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Feb, 2026) Operations are being carried out across the district against criminal elements and drug peddlers, on the special directives of SSP Shaheed Benazirabad, Sameer Noor Channa, Police conducted successful actions within the limits of various police stations, arresting 11 accused and recovering narcotics and weapons from their possession.

According to police spokesperson, A-Section Police arrested an accused, Zafar and recovered 600 grams of charas from his possession. FIR No. 43/2026 has been registered under Section 9(i) 3B of the Sindh Control of Narcotics Substances Act 2024. The Qazi Ahmed Police arrested accused Bilawal son of Allah Dino alias Allah Ditto Jokhio, who was wanted in FIR No. 61/2026 under Sections 302, 337H(ii), 504, and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code, and FIR No. 68/2026 under Section 24 of the Sindh Arms Act. A 12-bore repeater and two cartridges were recovered from his possession. Further action was also taken in FIR No. 112/2012 under Sections 302/34 PPC.

The Kadhar Police arrested drug dealer Muhammad Iqbal son of Muhammad Bux Jamali and recovered 200 sachets of Z-21 gutka and 400 grams of hazardous material. FIR No. 18/2026 has been registered under Sections 4/8 of the Gutka Manufacturing Act.

The Sakrand Police conducted three separate operations. In the first action, accused Aamir Ali Lashari and Zubair Ali Keryo were arrested with 40 liters of locally brewed liquor, and FIR No. 62/2025 was registered under Section 3/4. In the second operation, accused Nisar Ahmed Laghari was arrested with 550 grams of charas, and FIR No.

63/2026 was registered under Section 9(i) 3B CNSA. In the third action, accused Ghaffar son of Ghazi Rind and Karim Rind were arrested with 300 sachets of Z-21 gutka, and FIR No. 64/2026 was registered under Sections 4/8.

In two separate operations by Taluka Nawabshah Police, during snap checking, accused Waseem Ali son of Ghulam Nabi Khoso, resident of Bhangwar Colony Nawabshah, was arrested with 1,020 grams of charas. FIR No. 27/2026 was registered under Section 9(i) 3C CNSA. In another action during patrolling, accused Asghar Ali son of Abdul Sattar Bhatti, resident of Jamali Colony Nawabshah, was arrested with 200 sachets of Z-21 gutka. FIR No. 28/2026 was registered under Sections 4/8.

The Gupchani Police arrested proclaimed narcotics suspect Abdul Salah alias Salah Gupchani and recovered 1,200 grams of charas from his possession. FIR No. 8/2026 has been registered under Sections 9(1) 3C CNSA.

Meanwhile, through effective monitoring by the IT Branch using the Hotel Eye Management System (HEMS), a proclaimed offender was arrested. The accused, Zeeshan Akhtar son of Muhammad Akhtar, resident of Bhria Road, District Naushahro Feroze, was wanted in FIR No. 03/2023 under Section 489-F of the Pakistan Penal Code (Bhria Road Police Station).

He was arrested from Sindh Hotel Nawabshah by the SHO A-Section Police Station. SSP said that

Shaheed Benazirabad Police remains committed to eliminating crime and ensuring protection of life and property of citizens.
