The police have arrested a proclaimed offender (PO) after 16 years vehicle-snatching incident in the area of Madina Town police station

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Jul, 2026) The police have arrested a proclaimed offender (PO) after 16 years vehicle-snatching incident in the area of Madina Town police station.

Police spokesman said here on Monday that Station House Officer (SHO) Madina Town police station Adil Akram conducted a targeted operation and arrested the proclaimed offender, Ijaz, who had been evading arrest for the last sixteen years.

The accused along with his accomplices had allegedly snatched a vehicle at gunpoint from Muhammad Afzal, a driver associated with Nishat Mills, during a robbery.

The police locked the accused behind bars while further investigation was under progress, he added.
