PNCA hosts engaging Linocut Printmaking Workshop promoting creative expression and hands-on learning

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jun, 2026) The Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), through its Visual Arts Division, successfully organized a Linocut Printmaking Workshop at its premises, bringing together art enthusiasts, students, and emerging artists for an immersive exploration of one of the most accessible and rewarding printmaking techniques.

Facilitated by visual artist and creative practitioner Ms. Tayyaba Idrees, the workshop introduced participants to the fundamentals of relief printmaking through the medium of linocut.

The session combined technical instruction with hands-on experimentation, allowing participants to engage directly with the artistic process from concept development to the creation of finished prints.

The workshop introduced the history and practice of printmaking, followed by demonstrations of carving, inking, and hand-printing techniques.

Participants explored various approaches to texture, composition, and visual storytelling while producing original artworks of their own.
