ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture Division, Aurangzeb Khan Khichi on Wednesday said that the government is committed to promoting young artistic talent and strengthening cultural expression rooted in national identity.

He expressed these views while addressing the inauguration ceremony of an art exhibition titled “Azm-e-Marsoos: Young Artists Commemorate One Year of Marka-e-Haq” at the National Art Gallery, organized by the Pakistan National Council of the Arts.

The exhibition was formally inaugurated by Lt. Gen. (R) Humayun Bangash, a distinguished figure in calligraphy, in the presence of Director General PNCA M. Ayoub Jamali, artists, students, and a large number of art enthusiasts.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister appreciated the enthusiastic participation of young artists from across the country and emphasized the importance of engaging youth in cultural initiatives. He said such platforms not only nurture creativity but also reinforce national cohesion and shared values.

The exhibition reflects the spirit of resilience and unity, translating the essence of “Marka-e-Haq” into artistic expression. Through paintings and mixed media works, young artists have explored themes of courage, sacrifice, unity, and the enduring bond between the people and their defenders.

The artworks go beyond mere commemoration of a military achievement, presenting a narrative of cultural continuity and collective resolve. They highlight how the strength and determination of the nation are transformed into creative expression, symbolizing a steadfast and unified spirit.

Addressing the ceremony, Lt. Gen. (R) Humayun Bangash said the exhibition showcased not just art but the voice of a proud and determined generation He praised the young artists for expressing their deep love for Pakistan and respect for the Armed Forces through powerful visual narratives, adding that their creativity and passion reflect a promising future for the country’s cultural heritage.

Marking the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, the exhibition stands as a foundation for continued artistic and national expression.

It has received an overwhelming response from young artists nationwide, with submissions reflecting patriotism and heartfelt tributes to the country’s defenders.

The event brought together members of the artistic and intellectual community, fostering meaningful dialogue on themes of truth, strength, and national pride.

The exhibition will remain open to the public until May 14 while the galleries will remain closed on Fridays and Saturdays.
