PML- N leader calls protest in AJK irrelevant, notes public related demands fulfilled

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Jun, 2026) The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and Member National Assembly (MNA), Anjum Aqeel Khan emphasized that ongoing protest in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) irrelevant as most of the demands related to public issues had been resolved.

While talking to media, he said most of the public-related demands were accepted, while the remaining demands required constitutional amendments and parliamentary approval, including a two-thirds majority in Parliament.

“If they want those demands fulfilled, they should participate in elections, enter Parliament and pursue them through the democratic process,” he remarked.

Referring to social media activity related to the protests, he accused certain groups of spreading hatred and inflammatory content.

The minister maintained that public grievances had been addressed and urged those seeking further changes to contest elections and pursue their objectives through constitutional and parliamentary channels.
