President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday commended the security forces for successfully conducting an intelligence-based operation (IBO) against terrorists affiliated with the Indian proxy group, Fitna al-Hindustan, in the Naal area of Basima district, Balochistan.
In his remarks, President Zardari described the operation as timely and highly effective, stating that it successfully thwarted the militants’ alleged intentions and reflected the professionalism, preparedness, and operational capability of the country’s security institutions.
The president praised the bravery and unwavering commitment of the armed forces, acknowledging their efforts in eliminating 14 Indian-backed terrorists during the operation, according to a statement issued by the President Secretariat Media Wing.
He emphasised that sustained actions against anti-state elements remain vital to safeguarding national security and ensuring lasting peace and stability across the country.
Expressing profound grief over the martyrdom of Lance Havildar Muhammad Abbass, President Zardari paid tribute to his sacrifice, stating that the contributions rendered by the nation’s courageous soldiers in defence of the homeland would forever be remembered with honour and gratitude.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif also lauded the security forces for the successful operation, commending their professionalism and courage in neutralising 14 terrorists during the intelligence-led action.
The prime minister paid homage to Lance Havildar Muhammad Abbass of the Pakistan Army, who embraced martyrdom while valiantly confronting terrorists during the operation.
He prayed for the elevation of the martyr’s ranks in Jannah and conveyed his heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the bereaved family, according to a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office Media Wing.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that under the framework of Azm-e-Istehkam, Pakistan’s security forces continue to make notable progress in the country’s ongoing campaign against terrorism.
Reiterating the government’s unwavering commitment, the prime minister affirmed that all manifestations of terrorism would be eradicated and efforts to ensure national peace and security would continue with full resolve.
