Plans being made for rehabilitation of Karachi Circular Railway: Sharjeel Memon

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Mar, 2026) Sindh Senior Minister and Provincial Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that plans are being made for the rehabilitation of the Karachi Circular Railway, while large-scale work is underway to improve Karachi’s roads and infrastructure.

In a statement on Thursday, he said that the BRT Yellow Line project, aimed at improving the transport system, is moving towards rapid completion.

He said that road construction in different areas of Karachi has either been completed or is ongoing in some areas.

He said that projects for the construction and rehabilitation of various highways, as well as the construction of flyovers and underpasses and the improvement of the drainage system, are also underway.

Sharjeel Inam Memon said that economic activities are being boosted through the development of industrial zones, the promotion of business activities, and improvements in infrastructure.

The government’s aim is not merely to announce projects but to ensure their timely completion so that people can receive real relief. he said.
