Pindi traders, citizens hail armed forces’ action against Afghanistan

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Feb, 2026) Traders and members of the general public on Friday lauded the security forces for their successful operation against Afghan elements, describing it as a decisive response to aggression and a reaffirmation of Pakistan’s resolve to safeguard its sovereignty.

President of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) Usman Shaukat while talking to APP said the operation demonstrated the professionalism and preparedness of the armed forces. He noted that a secure environment was indispensable for economic stability and investor confidence. Usman said Pakistan has always extended the hand of brotherhood to Afghanistan and expected the reciprocal but ironically, results reflected diminished images of mutual respect from western border.

Traders Sharjil Mir, a prominent businessman, politician and social activist said the timely action had restored public confidence and congratulated the forces for foiling hostile designs aimed at destabilizing the country. Similarly, Amir Mughal highlighted that timely response by the valour forces was important for lasting results.

Nasir Abbasi said the business community stood shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces and underlined that enemies of peace would never succeed in their nefarious aims.

Among the public, Mudassar Malik said the forces had given a strong and clear message to hostile elements. He pointed towards Afghan-India nexus saying enemy was in search on new proxy against Pakistan.

Momin Masood termed the targeting of civilians a cowardly act and stressed that the entire nation was united against terrorism.

Malik Zulfiqar Ali, former Nazim from Ahmadal highlighted that such operations were essential to ensure long-term peace and stability in the region.

Raja Babar, a businessman belonging to international freights said the swift response had thwarted the enemy’s plans. He urged Afghanistan to think about the peaceful ties and business cooperation, for which they have to controll criminal clerics on their soil. Amjad Zeb emphasized that national security must remain the foremost priority.

Irfan Siddiqui said the people of Pakistan fully supported their armed forces and would continue to back every effort aimed at protecting the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
