PHE Minister chairs meeting of WASA, approves its budget for financial year-2026-27

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Mar, 2026) Balochistan Minister for Public Health Engineer (PHE) Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran on Wednesday chaired a meeting of WASA Quetta of Directors and approved its budget for financial year 2026-27.

The meeting was attended by concerned officials while they briefed the Minister about the performance of department and other issues of it.

The meeting approved 10 percent ad-hoc relief allowance for Water and Sanitation Authority (WASA) employees besides made ex post facto approval of 7 percent increase in pension.

The meeting considered issues related to promotions of WASA officers and personnel and also reviewed the situation of vacancies in the organization.

The board discussed the proposal of Maple Solar solutions, the meeting approved the extension of the contract of lab consultant and lab attendant.

The meeting allowed the purchase of vehicles in view of the needs of the organization.

The Provincial Minister said that provision of clean water to the public and improvement of the drainage system are top priority.
