The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Tuesday heard a case regarding the inclusion of former Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan in the Provisional National Identification (PNI) list (watch list)
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Mar, 2026) The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Tuesday heard a case regarding the inclusion of former Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan in the Provisional National Identification (PNI) list (watch list).
The hearing was conducted by a two-member bench headed by Justice Arshad Ali.
During the proceedings, the petitioner’s lawyer informed the court that Mahmood Khan’s name had been added to the PNI list without any valid reason. The lawyer further stated that the court had previously directed the authorities to submit a report in the case, but the report had not yet been provided.
Justice Arshad Ali asked the authorities to explain the reasons for including the petitioner’s name in the PNI list. The petitioner’s counsel replied that a decision related to the matter had already been issued by Justice Sahibzada Asadullah.
After hearing the arguments, the court directed the relevant parties to submit their reports and adjourned the hearing.
