PHC implements transparent recruitment reforms, signs MoUs with ETEA

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Mar, 2026) The Peshawar High Court, under the vision of the Chief Justice on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with the Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA) for appointments in the High Court establishment as well as the District Judiciary across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The initiative was part of a comprehensive reform agenda aimed at ensuring merit, transparency and standardization in recruitment to strengthen institutional efficiency and credibility.

Under the arrangement, ETEA will manage online applications, conduct biometric verification through NADRA E-Sahulat Centers, hold computer-based and skill-based examinations, and compile results along with provisional merit lists in accordance with prescribed weightages and standardized procedures.

The testing process will be carried out through a secure and confidential mechanism to ensure transparency and uniformity.

According to the press release issued here the MoUs are effective from January 2026 for a period of three years, extendable by mutual consent.

Each recruitment cycle is to be completed within 120 days after the closing date of applications.

Through this initiative, the Peshawar High Court reaffirmed its commitment to merit-based recruitment, transparency, institutional integrity and equal opportunity in all appointments within the High Court and the District Judiciary.
