PFA inspects food outlets

GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Jun, 2026) Punjab Food Authority (PFA) teams conducted inspections of food businesses across the district to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards on the directives of Deputy Director PFA Gujrat Sadia Rafat.

According to the official source, a total of 57 food businesses were inspected during the drive. The teams issued improvement notices to 23 food outlets for violations of food safety regulations and hygiene standards, while seven businesses were fined a total of Rs107,000.

During the inspections, 1.5 kilograms of expired food items were recovered and disposed of to ensure the provision of safe and quality food to consumers, the source added.
