PFA discards 700 liters adulterated milk

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th May, 2026) Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Monday discarded 700 liters of substandard milk after intercepting a supply vehicle on Shujaabad Road during a routine checking operation.

According to a PFA spokesperson, the food safety team stopped the milk tanker near Qasim Pur Colony at a temporary checkpoint.

Samples collected from the vehicle failed laboratory testing,revealing insufficient fat content and lack of required nutritional value.

Acting promptly,the authorities disposed of the entire quantity of adulterated milk on the spot.

The PFA Director General said the contaminated milk was intended for distribution to various milk shops across Multan.

He added that strict surveillance was being maintained at city entry and exit points to ensure the supply of safe and quality milk to consumers.
