PFA discards 1000 kg dead chicken:

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Feb, 2026) The Punjab food Authority (PFA) on Wednesday intercepted a vehicle and discarded 1,000 kilograms of dead chicken on Khushab Road near Jhal Chakian during a special crackdown ahead of Ramazan.

According to a PFA spokesperson, the consignment was intended for supply to various local hotels, but the timely intervention saved citizens from consuming hazardous meat.

A veterinary doctor examined the poultry on the spot and declared it unfit for human consumption, leading to its immediate disposal.

Police registered a case against the involved persons and impounded the vehicle.
