RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Jul, 2026) Punjab Food Authority (PFA) carried out 227 meat inspections across the province as part of its ongoing campaign to ensure food safety and quality.
During the inspections, 3,001 kilograms of substandard and unfit meat were discarded, 136 improvement notices were issued, 21 fines were imposed, and penalties amounting to Rs156,000 were collected.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>According to the PFA Meat Inspection Report, a total of 47,774 kilograms of meat was examined during the operation.
The authority reiterated its commitment to strict enforcement of food safety regulations and said inspection drives would continue to protect public health and ensure the availability of safe and hygienic food across Punjab.
