Per capita income rises to $1,901 in FY2026

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jun, 2026) Pakistan's per capita income increased to US$1,901 during fiscal year 2025-26 from US$1,751 in the previous year, registering an increase of US$150, according to the Economic Survey 2025-26.

The rise in per capita income was due to improved economic activity during the outgoing fiscal year, which helped strengthen overall economic performance and boost average income levels.

It said the increase in per capita income reflected the country's sustained economic recovery and improving macroeconomic conditions during FY2026.

Per capita income, which measures the average income earned per person, is considered a key indicator of economic well-being and living standards.

The latest increase underscores the positive impact of enhanced economic activity on household incomes and overall economic prosperity, the survey added.
