HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Apr, 2026) Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) Imdad Ali Pitafi on Wednesday formally inaugurated the Peoples Bus Service in Tando Allahyar at a dignified ceremony attended by political leaders, senior district officials and a large number of citizens.
According to an official handout, the project aims to provide modern, safe and affordable transportation facilities to the public.
Among those present on the occasion were Member of the National Assembly Zulfiqar Sattar Bachani, Deputy Commissioner Tando Allahyar Noor Mustafa Laghari, SSP Syed Saleem Shah, Chairman District Council Mir Sohail Talpur, Chairman Municipal Committee Syed Samar Hussain Shah, PPP District President Zaheer Abbas Pitafi, Divisional Director Information Shehzad Shaikh, Deputy Director Information Khalid Hussain Kamboh, officials of the Sindh Transport Department, elected representatives, social figures and citizens.
Addressing the ceremony, MPA Imdad Ali Pitafi expressed special thanks to Sindh Minister for Information and Transport Sharjeel Inam Memon.
He said the Sindh government was implementing welfare-oriented projects in line with the vision of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He added that the launch of the People's Bus Service would significantly ease transportation issues for residents of Tando Allahyar while saving both time and money. He also assured that the service would be expanded further in the near future.
MNA Zulfiqar Sattar Bachani termed the project a reflection of the Pakistan Peoples Party’s commitment to public service. He said the bus service was no less than a gift for middle- and lower-income segments of society. PPP District President Zaheer Abbas Pitafi also shared his views on the occasion.
At the end of the ceremony, MPA Imdad Ali Pitafi formally inaugurated the service by cutting the ribbon and inspected the buses. Special prayers were also offered for the country’s prosperity, security and the success of the project.
