PEF, PARCO hold scholarship distribution ceremony for deserving students

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Feb, 2026) A scholarship distribution ceremony was held under the collaboration of the Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) and PARCO to recognise outstanding academic performance and promote quality education across Punjab.

During the ceremony, 14 students from remote and underprivileged areas were awarded cash prizes of Rs 50,000 each along with certificates of appreciation. According to officials, each student will receive a total scholarship of Rs 100,000 to be disbursed in two installments, with the first installment of Rs 50,000 to be provided this year and the remaining amount next year.

On the occasion, Chairman Punjab Education Foundation Malik Shoaib Awan said that the scholarship recipients represented deserving segments of society belonging to far-flung and underprivileged regions.

Managing Director PEF Shahid Farid also congratulated the awardees and urged them to pursue their education with dedication and perseverance.

According to details, the collaboration between PEF and PARCO covers three major areas, including provision of scholarships to deserving and high-achieving students, construction of washrooms in PSRP schools of Dera Ghazi Khan Division, and capacity building of teachers.

Under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, washrooms will also be constructed in 50 schools across Dera Ghazi Khan Division, particularly in institutions where such facilities are either unavailable or insufficient, to ensure a safe, dignified and conducive learning environment for students.
