LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th May, 2026) Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) has appointed Adeel Munawar as its Commercial Ambassador, recognizing his valuable services to Pakistan’s pharmaceutical sector and his efforts in promoting business relations between Pakistan and China.
The joint chamber's spokesperson informed mediad here Tuesday that Adeel Munawar is also recognized among the top 100 CEOs of Pakistan. The appointment reflects PCJCCI’s vision of connecting progressive Pakistani businesses with international opportunities, especially in sectors which directly impact people’s lives such as healthcare and pharmaceuticals.
On this occasion, Adeel Munawar resolved that as Commercial Ambassador of PCJCCI, he would actively work to strengthen commercial linkages between Pakistani and Chinese pharmaceutical companies by facilitating business networking, investment opportunities, joint ventures, and technology-sharing initiatives. He added that Chinese pharmaceutical companies possess advanced manufacturing expertise and research capabilities, while Pakistan offers a growing healthcare market and strategic regional connectivity, creating strong potential for mutually beneficial partnerships.
He noted that under the framework of Pakistan-China economic cooperation and China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors can emerge as important areas for bilateral collaboration.

In a country where access to quality medicines and vaccines remains a critical need, companies like M&M Pharma have played an important role in bridging global healthcare innovation with local healthcare demands. Pakistan’s healthcare and pharmaceutical sector have shown strong growth in recent years. Industry estimates indicate that Pakistan’s pharmaceutical market has crossed nearly USD 05 billion in value, with over 700 pharmaceutical manufacturing units operating across the country, including both multinational and local companies.
PCJCCI Secretary General Salahuddin Hanif stated that appointment of Adeel Munawar as Commercial Ambassador reflects the Chamber’s confidence in young and visionary business leaders who are contributing positively to Pakistan’s economy. He added that China’s advancements in pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotechnology, digital healthcare, and medical research offer valuable opportunities for Pakistan to modernize its healthcare sector through joint ventures, technology transfer, and institutional collaboration.
