Patwari arrested for bribery

DG KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Apr, 2026) The Anti-Corruption Establishment arrested a patwari in Muzaffargarh on charges of accepting a bribe,

officials said on Saturday.

The accused, identified as Ghulam Murtaza, was taken into custody in connection with a case already

registered at the Anti-Corruption Police Station Muzaffargarh.

According to officials, the patwari allegedly received Rs 200,000 from a citizen in the name of official fees.

Action was taken after evidence confirmed the allegation.

Authorities said further legal proceedings are underway and the case will be pursued on merit.

An Anti-Corruption spokesperson reiterated that a zero-tolerance policy against corruption remains in place and

no official is above the law.
