PMD says daytime temperatures are expected to increase from Monday, with the mercury likely to reach a maximum of 37 degrees Celsius

KARACHI: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-July 6th, 2026) Karachi is expected to experience partly cloudy skies and humid weather over the next three days, with temperatures likely to rise and light drizzle possible in isolated areas, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said on Monday.

The PMD said that the daytime temperatures are expected to increase from Monday, with the mercury likely to reach a maximum of 37 degrees Celsius.

The weather department said there is a possibility of light drizzle in some parts of the city during the early morning and late-night hours.

Maximum temperatures are forecast to remain between 35°C and 37°C during the three-day period, while minimum temperatures are expected to range from 28°C to 30°C.

The PMD said southwesterly sea breezes are expected to continue blowing across Karachi, contributing to humid conditions despite the slight rise in temperature.

Meanwhile, most districts of Sindh are likely to experience hot and dry weather. However, isolated areas of Umerkot and Tharparkar may receive rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.

The Met Office has advised residents to take necessary precautions against heat, particularly during peak afternoon hours, as temperatures are expected to remain above normal in many parts of the province.
