ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-Feb 24th, 2026) Popular Pakistani TikToker Kanwal Aftab has addressed social media criticism regarding her repeated Umrah visits, clarifying that intention and sincerity, rather than wealth, guide her spiritual journeys.

Kanwal, along with fellow digital creator Zulqarnain Sikandar, is among Pakistan’s leading content creators, with millions of followers. Both have performed Umrah multiple times, most recently in March 2025, and are currently in Saudi Arabia performing the pilgrimage again during Ramadan with their families.

The criticism emerged after a social media user questioned Kanwal, asking, “You have money, that’s why you go for Umrah repeatedly?”

In response, Kanwal posted a video saying, “People assume that our repeated Umrah visits are only possible because we have money, but the reality is different.

I have seen people much wealthier than me who never perform Umrah. Money is important, but intention and dedication pave the true path.”

Her comments have resonated with many social media users, who emphasized that sincerity and intention matter more than financial capability.

However, some critics noted that money does make repeated pilgrimages easier, especially for celebrities and influencers, as their substantial incomes allow them to plan multiple Umrah trips, whereas ordinary people often manage just one.

Kanwal Aftab’s response has sparked widespread discussion online about the balance between wealth, intention, and devotion in religious practices, highlighting the ongoing conversation around spiritual sincerity on social media.
