ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Feb, 2026) Ambassador of Pakistan to the Russian Federation Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Wednesday, visited the Federal Tax Service of Russia to meet with Commissioner Daniil Egorov.

The meeting focused on the implementation of cutting-edge technology to improve fiscal transparency and tax administration, said a press release issued here.

Ambassador Tirmizi was briefed on various digital solutions developed and successfully employed by the Russian side, including the automated VAT control system, the online cash register system that enables real-time monitoring of retail transactions, and other digital solutions for taxpayer convenience.

Ambassador Tirmizi commended the high level of digitalization within the Russian tax system and invited Russian professionals to share technical expertise and best practices with Pakistani counterparts to support Pakistan's digitalization efforts.

The two sides agreed to maintain an active dialogue and to step up engagements at the institutional level between the Pakistani and Russian tax administrations.
