Pakistan likely to recall key players for Australia ODI series

LAHORE: Pakistan are expected to make several changes to their squad for the upcoming three-match one-day international series against Australia national cricket team, according to media reports.

Sources said final consultations over squad selection have been completed, with several players from the ODI squad that featured against Bangladesh national cricket team likely to be replaced.

Former captain Babar Azam is expected to return to the ODI squad for the Australia series. Opening batter Fakhar Zaman, spinner Sufiyan Muqeem and fast bowler Hunain Shah are also likely to be included.

Meanwhile, all-rounders Faheem Ashraf and Hussain Talat appear unlikely to retain their places in the squad.

Discussions are still ongoing regarding wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan.

Australia is scheduled to arrive in Islamabad on May 23. Pakistan will begin a training camp in Rawalpindi on May 22 and is expected to play a practice match ahead of the series.

The three ODIs between Pakistan and Australia will be played on May 30, June 2 and June 4.

Earlier, Ticket sales for the upcoming One-Day International (ODI) series between Pakistan national cricket team and Australia national cricket team will begin on May 22, according to an official announcement by the Pakistan Cricket Board.

As per the PCB statement, general enclosure tickets have been set at Rs200, while first-class tickets will be available for Rs300. Premium tickets will cost Rs400 and VIP tickets will be priced at Rs500.

For the Rawalpindi fixture, VIP gallery tickets have been set at Rs1, 500.

In Lahore, tickets for the Iqbal enclosure and VIP stands will be available for Rs1, 000, while Jinnah enclosure and VIP tickets will cost Rs1, 500.

The PCB further stated that corporate and hospitality seating arrangements can be booked by contacting the PCB Head Office. Fans will also be able to purchase tickets online through the official PCB website.

The series will begin with the first ODI on May 30 in Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The second and third ODIs are scheduled for June 2 and June 4 at Gaddafi Stadium.
