Pakistan junior squash contingent reaches China for Asian Championships

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th May, 2026) Pakistan’s junior squash contingent has arrived in Panzhihua, China to participate in the 33rd Asian Junior Individual Squash Championships 2026, according to information made available here by Pakistan Squash Federation.

The five-day eventwill commence on Wednesday.

The national squad has started preparations for the prestigious continental event under the supervision of Director academies Group Captain (R) Irfan Asghar and Head Coach Fahim Gul.

Pakistan will be represented by eight players in different age categories.

In the boys’ events, Abdullah Nawaz will compete in the Under-19 category, Muhammad Umair Arif and Nouman Khan in Under-17, Ahmed Rayyan Khalil and Sohail Adnan in Under-15, while Mustafa Khan will participate in the Under-13 category.

In the girls’ section, Sehrish Ali and Mahnoor Ali will feature in the Under-15 category.

The championship will bring together top junior squash players from across Asia, providing an important platform for emerging talent to gain international exposure and compete at the highest regional level.
