Pakistan, China stood by each other during difficult times: Sindh Minister

KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd May, 2026) Sindh Senior Minister and Provincial Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit, Sharjeel Inam Memon, on Friday said Pakistan and China had completed 75 years of friendship and the friendship between the two countries was time tested.

Addressing the Sindh Assembly, Sharjeel Inam Memon said that whether during the era of Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, or President Asif Ali Zardari, Pak-China friendship has always grown strongerm, said a statement on Friday.

He said that both nations have stood by each other during difficult times. China was our brother and neighbor, and in every trial, China had supported Pakistan, just as Pakistan has supported China, he added.

He said that Pakistan had always sought to maintain cordial relations with all neighboring countries. President Asif Ali Zardari, also took the important step of introducing the Chinese language into basic education, recognizing its importance for trade interests and for strengthening people-to-people contacts between the two countries, he said.
