LAHORE: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-May 22nd, 2026) Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry has paid rich tribute to the enduring 75-year-long Pakistan–China friendship, terming it a unique, time-tested, and strategically significant relationship that continues to serve as a cornerstone of regional peace, connectivity, and economic development.
In a joint statement issued by President of LCCI Faheem ur Rehman Saigol, Senior Vice President Tanveer Ahmed Sheikh, and Vice President Khurram Lodhi, the leadership of the chamber said that Pakistan and China have stood by each other through every test of time, transforming their diplomatic ties into an all-weather strategic partnership rooted in trust, mutual respect, and shared economic vision.
The LCCI leadership emphasized that over the past 75 years, Pakistan and China have not only strengthened political and defense cooperation but have also expanded economic collaboration into multiple sectors including infrastructure, energy, agriculture, technology, and industrial development. The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was highlighted as a landmark initiative that has redefined regional trade dynamics and opened new avenues of investment and connectivity for Pakistan.

They added that the next phase of cooperation must focus on technology transfer, industrial relocation, joint ventures in manufacturing, and digital economy integration.
While celebrating the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations, the LCCI office-bearers called for enhanced private sector engagement between both countries. They urged the facilitation of Pakistani exports to China, reduction of trade imbalance, and improved market access for Pakistani SMEs in Chinese markets.
They also highlighted the importance of strengthening institutional linkages between chambers of commerce of both countries, encouraging frequent business delegations, and organizing joint trade exhibitions to further deepen economic cooperation.
The LCCI leadership reaffirmed that Pakistan–China friendship is a model of international relations that has stood firm against global uncertainties. They expressed confidence that under the evolving regional economic landscape, both countries will continue to move forward together toward shared prosperity, regional stability, and sustainable development.
