Paharpur shopkeepers fined for violating price list rules

Dera Ismail Khan, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jul, 2026) Acting on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan, Assistant Commissioner Paharpur Shahab Ahmad Khan, carried out a detailed inspection of Paharpur Bazaar to ensure compliance with official price regulations and municipal standards.

During the visit, the assistant commissioner inspected various shops, checked official price lists, and reviewed cleanliness arrangements in the market. Five shopkeepers were found operating without displaying mandatory price lists and were issued strict warnings besides being fined under the relevant rules.

The assistant commissioner also took notice of temporary encroachments in the bazaar and directed the Town Municipal Officer (TMO) to launch an immediate operation to remove illegal structures and obstructions from public spaces.

He said that no encroachment on government land would be tolerated and warned that indiscriminate legal action would be taken against all violators in accordance with the law.
