Paharpur administration conducts price checks in multiple markets

Dera Ismail Khan, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Feb, 2026) Acting on the directives of the provincial government, Assistant Commissioner Paharpur Dr Hamid supervised price control teams during visits to various markets in Panyala, Paharpur, Awan, Thatthal, Kirri Khaisoor and Chashma Side.

During the inspections, officials ensured the availability of essential food items at officially notified rates.

Most shopkeepers were found complying with the government price list. However, minor violations were observed in some cases, and the concerned shopkeepers were issued warnings with strict instructions to ensure full compliance in the future.

The district administration reiterated its commitment to maintaining price stability and protecting consumers from overcharging.
