Over 5.5kg drugs recovered during crackdown, one held

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Jun, 2026) Police have conducted an effective crackdown against drug trafficking and arrested a drug supplier besides recovering more than 5.5 kilograms of drugs from his possession.

According to police spokesperson, officers intercepted a suspicious individual during routine checking, and upon search, recovered the contraband from his possession in Saddar Barooni area.

Police further stated that the arrested suspect is a previously convicted offender in a narcotics case.

During initial interrogation, he reportedly confessed to supplying drugs in various parts of the city, including educational institutions.

Authorities reiterated that all possible measures are being taken to eliminate the menace of narcotics from society and ensure strict action against those involved in drug trafficking.
