Over 212,000 candidates to appear in matric exams under BISE Sargodha

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Mar, 2026) The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education(BISE) Sargodha will commence the annual matriculation examinations from March 27,2026 with more than 212,375 candidates expected to appear across the division.

A meeting to review the final arrangements was chaired on Monday by Commissioner of Sargodha Division and Chairman of the education board,Hafiz Shaukat Ali.

The meeting was attended by Board Secretary,Abu Al-Hasan Naqvi and Controller of Examinations,Dr.Nazar Abbas.

During the briefing,officials informed the meeting that 110,686 candidates would appear in the 9th-grade examinations, while 101,699 students would sit for the 10th-grade papers.

For the examinations,322 centers have been established for the 9th grade and 290 centers for the 10th grade,including 59 combined centers.

A total of 290 superintendents and 349 deputy superintendents will perform duties to ensure smooth conduct of the examinations.

To ensure transparency and prevent cheating,five special squads,including a chairman squad, have been formed, while mobile inspectors will also be deployed at district and tehsil levels.

The meeting was informed that 27 centers have been declared sensitive, where biometric attendance of candidates and staff and CCTV monitoring will be ensured through a central control room established at the board office.
