LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th May, 2026) In a significant milestone for Pakistan’s digital employment landscape, over 1.7 million job seekers have registered on the Punjab Job Center since its inception in August 2022.

Developed by the Punjab Information Technology board (PITB) for the Labor and Human Resource Department, the portal stands as the country’s first district-level digital platform dedicated to streamlining the recruitment process. The platform has also successfully onboarded over 110,000 employers, creating a robust ecosystem that bridges the gap between the workforce and the industry.

The Punjab Job Center was designed to serve as a comprehensive hub for job seekers, workers, employers, business owners, and employment agencies. By integrating these various stakeholders into a single online environment, the initiative ensures that access to employment opportunities remains transparent, easy, and efficient for all residents of the province.

Highlighting the impact of the initiative, PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf stated that the Punjab Job Center is revolutionizing how employment is approached in the province. He noted that the system does not just help individuals find work but also empowers employers by providing them with a reliable and skilled workforce, ensuring the recruitment process is both fast and accountable.

The Labor and Human Resource Department has ensured that the portal is accessible to everyone, from large-scale corporations to individual skilled workers. Businesses and candidates can register directly through the official web portal. Additionally, to facilitate those with limited internet access, candidates can simply send their CNIC number to 8900 via mobile phone to receive an instant registration link. This initiative continues to play a pivotal role in the provincial government’s mission to digitize the economy and foster sustainable employment growth across Punjab.
